Keepers of the Santa Fe River

Its just  a  story, its not about New Mexico.

Its more about a river, the caves and caverns, way down  below.

Its way down in Florida where the alligators play.

Along the pristine banks they call the Santa Fe.

And now we're getting a little closer to a place called boat ramp road.

Just up ahead is another place called the rocky shoals.

Its where the river runs swift with its dips and dives.

center of the stream, is where the currents just right.

Along the Santa Fe  the currents just right

The Santa Fe Rivers where the currents just right.

As we're  Going down river theirs an Alligators nest.

Baby, Stay to your right,  I think its your best.

We got Yellow belly turtles dotting  logs in delight.

ibis and the herons are ready for flight.

Along the Santa Fe , the currents just right

And now the waters getting clearer , much further we go.

Around the next bend, Lord,  theirs  a mother nature show.

We got Rumbles of thunder crackin  open the sky.

Fire and lighting,  piercing  sunlight.

Along the Santa Fe , the currents just right

Hear the silence of the forest from the passing storm.

Its an eco of the Owl with such a great horn.

Its a call they want to take our river away.

But the people came out here to save the Santa Fe.

For you are the Keepers of the Santa Fe
